Promotion expense management

Document the spend.
Respect the agreement.

Recupli separates the campaign, the expense, who funded it and what the applicable agreement allows—because promotion spend is not automatically artist debt.

Four clear treatments

The funding story determines the financial result.

Fully recoupable

A producer or label funds the campaign and the agreement allows the approved amount into the applicable recoupment pool.

Partially recoupable

Only the approved contractual percentage or amount enters the pool. The remainder stays documented, not recouped.

Artist-funded

The artist paid the cost up front. It is recorded as non-recoupable to the artist and cannot be charged again.

Producer-absorbed

The producer keeps the invoice and evidence in the record, while artist recoupment remains zero.

Shared music needs explicit allocation

Never divide a Riddim campaign blindly.

A campaign may support a release, several tracks or an entire Riddim. Recupli requires applicable agreements and an approved allocation before shared spend can enter recoupment.

Evidence before impact

A cost only becomes recoupment after approval.

Every expense connects the funder, amount, currency, date, related artist and asset, agreement version, evidence, notes and approval metadata.
